Analyse

Drawing from our experience we developed a view that only holistic and contextual approach can provide analyses that will accurately identify root cause issues in organisation’s IT function and wider. We look at the business and the value that IT contributes. We look at software and its integration with business functions. We look at budgets and financials and how the money is spent. And finally, we look at ICT infrastructure and quality of services provided to the organisation.

Recommend

Based on our findings we make our recommendations and sometimes those are just a few tweaks that business must do to significantly improve IT function performance, but sometimes the full reengineering of the IT function is required. It may include change of systems, change of vendors, training, introduction of new software, infrastructure replacement, security arrangement and most importantly retention and re-education of the staff. Very often those changes may extend to the rest of the organisation, its culture and business processes as IT is the integral part of the organisation.

Plan

Any change has to be carefully planned, not only through the budgets and resources, but extreme attention has to be given to communications, change management and to the culture of the organisation to cater for its specifics. The best plans and projects fail if there is no adoption and positive engagement of employees – from the top to bottom and vice versa.
